Hello everyone! How's your week so far. I can't tell you how odd it is to be in October & still be surrounded by humidity. NYC weather is strange no? This weather is keeping me indoors doing work & also rearranging the house - which means getting rid of a few things & bringing in new stuff!

This time I've decided to put my clear coffee table on SALE.  Just wanted to change a few things out  as I always do... The table has been featured on several blogs including my own - as you can see below!

It's in good condition - with a only a few minor scratches on the corners. I'm selling it for $150 or best offer, but this lucite coffee table originally retails for $279 at CB2, which you can see here.  No shipping, so you'd have to be NY local & come pick it up.  If interested, please email me.

What is your favorite area in your home and why?

I'm Shalini, all the way from India. Here is my space. It was originally a guest room which I decided to convert into a tv/entertainment room. The reason why I love it is because it's my first makeover ever and everything has been built from scratch. The effort is special to me. You can see the entire process on my blog.

Hi MBG readers! Amanda here. Today I'll be sharing with you one of my favorite rooms to decorate: the home office. With my recent move, I am excited to finally have my own workspace and complete freedom to discover my personal style. And with summer in full swing, there's no better time to start redecorating or switching out images on the pinboard and gallery wall. 

Even though I had to use my dining area as a desk in my previous apartment, it was always the messiest and most susceptible to clutter. And for those working from home, it's the one room most spend in and we know how design affects the way we feel and think. Prettying up the space helps keep it the way it should be - constantly inspiring! For this office space, I chose Jennifer Fisher's soho showroom and office as the main inspiration. Her glam and edgy yet casual office is one I would love to spend long work days in.

What is your favorite area in your home and why?

My name is Debbie Bouchard and I am a paralegal from Vancouver, British Columbia.   After fifteen years of renting, my boyfriend and I bought a condo and decorating it has become a bit of a hobby.  My favourite space is our living room with its office nook. I wanted our first place to be colourful, lively, original, and full of love.  After a long day, it’s nice to come home to a warm, cozy space...made complete with our beloved dog, Olive!

I love VOGUE. I'm a fashion-lover at heart & love visiting Vogue for their fashion as well as their 'Apt with LSD' home section. My all time favorite has been the home of Nicole Hanley Mellon in NYC.
  
Why? ................Well, just visit this link and you'll see why. Her antelope carpet alone by Stark Carpet (one of my faves) - is unbelievable!  Oh.... what I would do to have my home office covered in this rug. NOT EVEN KIDDING. What is your favorite area in your home and why?            

I hope you are well! I'm Jana Bek an Interior Designer & past DIY contributor here on MadeByGirl many times!  I wanted my petite 500 square foot studio to be featured in a "My Home, My Space" post. You so often talk about how trying it is, living in smaller NYC spaces & I thought my apartment could serve as inspiration to your readers who share our plight.

I love my space because I set it up like a hotel room. As it's all in one room essentially, I choose to show off my bed, friends often sit at the end of it, we pull out the stools, I set up a bar on my console & it allows me to entertain with ease. I think my space prove that chic spaces can come in small packages :)

Contributors are such a great help and the good ones make my day! Love to see beautiful posts, don't you? I hope the previous writers got some great traffic out of it and were excited to be part of MBG! So, it is now that time again to switch out the current contributors & bring in new FRESH FACES & posts! I'm usually busy managing my MBG Shop, painting for my Cocoa & Hearts gallery, marketing, answering e-mail & maintaining my personal life. It's STILL a lot of work, so I'm back searching for the next contributors to start August 1st!!!!
 

I'd love to recruit 5-6 contributors to blog here on Made By Girl!  It's not going to be an easy task - but I'll choose bloggers for each category below. If you notice, this time we have a new category (Beauty)! Categories are:

What is your favorite area in your home and why?

"Hello MadeByGirl readers this is Lindsay from Pursuit of Style blog! My apartment is very much a work in progress, but this little corner of my living room is one of my favorite spots. If there’s one thing that living in tiny DC apartments has taught me, it’s to focus on surrounding myself only with things I truly love. There’s nothing worse than living in close quarters with something you bought on impulse just to fill the space--been there, done that!

The reason I chose this spot is because it features some of my favorite pieces I’ve collected over the years. The caned barrel chair is part of a pair I found on craigslist. They were the first pieces of furniture I ever had re-upholstered and I felt very grown up at the time. I still love the hot pink linen almost 4 years later!

I bought the large painting this summer at an antique store in my hometown on Cape Cod. It was a splurge at the time and she’s a little kooky (my family loves to make fun) but I knew if I walked away I’d regret it. The artist is German, but I think I was initially drawn to it because it reminds me of one of my favorite Picasso line drawings.
The black console serves as a makeshift bar. I recently painted the inside turquoise which is a fun surprise when you open the doors. The tortoise glass ice bucket (being used as a vase) is another favorite vintage find. It’s equally as pretty holding a bottle of champagne!"

"Hi I'm Kat from With Love from Kat blog! My favorite area in my apartment is my office.  I work from home, so I spend A LOT of time there.  My desk is from Bungalow 5, my planner is from Bergdorf Goodman, and my candle is from Diptyque. I try to always keep fresh flowers, books and jewels out for inspiration.  I stuck to a neutral color scheme for the space, but am dying to get my hands on a MadeByGirl painting to add a pop of color!"

Hi MBG readers, its Amanda and I am back with two absolute summertime fave of mine: the iconic banana leaf print and the Massimo Vitali beach photograph. Not sure about you guys but there's no palm trees over here (in ohio) so I'm determined to bring the classic glam style of vacation destinations into our home.

Have you guys seen Domaine?

Domaine is a shoppable online magazine spotlighting stylish homes for hip & trendy consumers. It was launched by the creators of WhoWhatWear, and led by Mat Sanders (Domino, Apartment Therapy), the site is a fantastic place to visit when you're looking to get home decor inspiration & ideas. 

The online mag was recently launched in 2013, & is located in one of the world’s most exciting design capitals, Los Angeles. Sweet! I very much enjoyed the entire site, as you can see below are a few of my favorites. How cool is that drawer pull made of skateboard wheels? Enjoy!
